Every piece of Jena Jewelry has a story, just like I do.
And this is how it all began...
It Started with Seed Beads and a Spark
I didn’t set out to start a jewelry business. I needed a creative outlet, something hands-on, calming, and just for me. So I picked up a beginner beading kit, opened a little box of seed beads, and sat down to see what happened.
I was instantly hooked.
What started as a hobby quickly grew into a passion I couldn’t ignore. That first spark? It lit the way forward.
Learning, Experimenting, and Falling in Love
I dove into the world of jewelry-making with curiosity and joy. I took classes. I watched tutorials. I experimented. And I fell in love—again and again.
✨ Wire wrapping drew me in with its elegance and versatility.
✨ Chainmaille captured my attention with its intricacy and timeless beauty.
✨ Leather wrap bracelets added a rustic, earthy touch that made my heart sing.
There’s something deeply satisfying about watching a piece come to life in your hands. The act of crafting calms me, excites me, and connects me to others, whether they’re wearing one of my pieces or making something of their own.
Seven Years (and Countless Creations) Later...
Here I am, still creating, still learning, still loving every minute. Jena Jewelry has grown from a pastime to a passion, and from a kitchen table project to something I proudly share with the world.
I’ve now been making jewelry for over seven years, and every piece still brings the same joy it did in the beginning. No two designs are ever quite alike, and that’s the beauty of handmade work. It evolves, just like we do.
Visit Me at The Handmade Market
You can now find my work at The Handmade Market in Bethany, Missouri, right behind McDonald’s off I-35. It’s a cozy, creative space filled with local makers and one-of-a-kind finds.
If you're ever nearby, I’d love for you to stop in and discover something beautiful, whether it’s for yourself or someone special.
Because when you wear a piece of Jena Jewelry, you're wearing a little piece of my journey.
Thanks for supporting handmade and for being part of this creative adventure with me.
